The causes we find, in order
Water heater element leaking to earth
The single most common cause in Dubai apartments, because a cracked element passes current to earth through the water. It often trips on a timer pattern, when the heater is scheduled to run.
Moisture in an outdoor or bathroom circuit
Balcony sockets, terrace lighting and extractor fans take in humidity and start leaking to earth after rain or a wash-down. The trip is intermittent and follows the weather.
Failed appliance rather than wiring
A washing machine, oven or AC with a failing winding will trip the whole board while the wiring is perfectly sound. We split the board and test under load to prove which it is.
Overloaded circuit
Too much added to one ring over the years, so it trips on thermal overload at peak use rather than on a fault. The answer is redistributing the load, never fitting a bigger breaker.
Faulty RCD or MCB
Protective devices wear out and start tripping at well below their rated current. We test trip times before condemning the device, because replacing it on suspicion hides real faults.

Can you find an intermittent trip that only happens sometimes?
Usually, by splitting the board and insulation-testing each circuit under load rather than waiting for it to happen. Where it genuinely will not reproduce, we say so instead of pricing a guess.
Is it safe to keep resetting it?
No. An RCD trips because current is leaking somewhere it should not, which is a shock risk. A breaker that trips repeatedly should be diagnosed, not reset.
Why does it trip at the same time every day?
Because something on a timer is running then, most often the water heater or an irrigation pump. We ask what is scheduled before testing, because it narrows the circuit down immediately.
