Do you have to break the wall to find it?
We trace first and open last. Isolation testing, meter readings and following the run usually narrow a leak to a small area, and then we open the smallest access that reaches it and make it good afterwards.
My water bill jumped but I cannot see a leak. Can you find it?
Yes. We close fixtures one at a time and read the meter between each, then pressure-test the supply to confirm the loss and narrow it to a zone before opening anything.
